My biggest pet peeve (aside from disliking the beer).
It just goes to show that MH doesn't really target the beer nerds out there, but the trendy niche hipster market. They are relying on the fact that the sector they advertise to won't have the beer knowledge/know how to be turned off by this label.
The success they've seen has come from powerful marketing (to the market in transition, not nec. the "beer nerds") and sales. The big merger with Pyramid shows their transition into a bigger corporate structure. I think as once small craft breweries start getting to this size, we will see legal action like this more and more. I understand the current founder and president should be able to influence the culture and hopefully support the greater good of the industry, but the suits have been moving in.
Just my opinion.
