There were 9 IPAs in my category. I'm still not sure that American IPA (14B) was the right category for my beer. It started off as a SN Celebration Ale Clone.

Anyway, I didn't place and my scores were, 27, 28 and 29. The concensus was, not enough hop flavor, aroma or bitterness for the style. Any suggestions on a style more fitting?

So I got the results of my latest competition this morning (Fur Rondy Homebrew Competition, Anchorage, AK). I actually got them late last night, but was too nervous to look.

Anyway, my "pale ale", which didn't do well In the previous competition under IPA, took first place in American Pale Ales. I also submitted a coffe stout which took a gold in Stouts.

Two more gold medals for the Army (donations forthcoming).

Brew strong!

That's awesome Smurf! I've been so stoopid busy lately I missed the entry deadline of the last semi local comp. This week is hell, but if I survive, Friday I'll be in SF doing the brew pub rounds!!!

Just need to survive work until Friday...
