Package included a couple bombers of homebrew ("Janet's Brown" and a Ginger Saison) and a couple local commercial brews (Voo Doo Vator Dopplebock and a 2007 Pannepot!), as well as a stack of coasters. A big thanks to Dubba_Brew. Dude, I'm psyched to try all of these!

Edit: yeah, the Pannepot's not local. I've been looking forward to this one since "The Best Beer in the World" show

Glad it got to you in time for the holidays. I'm pretty happy with the Janet's and I think the Saison was really tasty (but I may be a bit biased). The Voo Doo is a good one that's brewed in northwest PA... those guys actually make a peppercorn wit that is really good - can't remember what's it's called right now. The Pannepot was just a bit of a XMas miracle (as in, it's a miracle that I still had any left). Even my wife was pretty excited about sharing that beer with someone from the Army.

Hope you enjoy it all... let me know what you think about the homebrews!!

Happy Ludacrismas!!!

What a great way to start off the season... as I was leaving the house to spend a few days visiting family, I found my secret santa package on the front stoop. I threw it in the car with my christmas gifts and when I arrived in Massachusetts I had some beer to share with my family. Taboot's homebrewed Jamil's Oatmeal Stout was really good - we all commented on the nice roasted malt profile. Two bonus beers from Founders were included - Dirty Bastard and Imperial Stout, which I drank during a marathon dominoes game that lasted into the wee hours. Thanks, Taboot - have a great holiday! And same to the rest of you...

Man I suck, I haven't sent mine yet. It is bottled and awaiting packaging, just call me Ebaneezer. Sorry to my recipient, just so damn busy with the holidays. It will be in the mail this weekend though, 4 bottles of homebrew, possibly 5, don't know if I should send one of the Spicy Garlic Ale's ( I think they are going to suck and don't want to send bad beer ). It's not infected or anything, just don't know how well spicy garlic will be in a beer.

[ ] send spicy garlic just so they can say they've tried it

[ ] don't send bad tasting experiment
On Tap:
1. Black as Coal Stout
2. Yellow Snow Pils
3. Smivey Brown Christmas Ale
4. Blueberry Pie Blonde

Secondary: empty
Primary: Doo Doo Brown Ale

on the horizon: undetermined

I got my secret santa yesterday.
A southern brown homebrew and a UberHoppy Double IPA from JR McKnight.
Tried the Southern brown yesterday and it was good beer.
Thanks Nathan!

I had an awesome day out on the slopes today & what do I come home to? An inconspicuous box on the porch! Leaky Porch sent me 4 bombers, unfortunately one didn't survive the trip. The fallen soldier was a Bier de Garde & the 3 that made it were a Barleywine, a Pumpkin brew & an IPA that I just had to crack immediately. Detailed recipes for each brew were also enclosed. Thanks LP, you gave me a great end to a great day - now I just have to get the new brewstand ready for its inaugural brew tomorrow.

I sent my packages out last Thursday & have no idea where I put the tracking numbers. Hopefully my 2 recipients will let me know when they have arrived. I have a 3rd package to send to the brewcasters as a big thank you for all they have done. I'm just waiting on an APA that went south & appropriately named 'Crossley Pale Ale'. Since the brew was so off, I decided to say fuck it & dry-hop with an Ancho & Anaheim chili pepper. It's been aging in the keg for a little bit now & is nearly ready. I can't believe how great it's turning - I'll fill a couple bottles next week & send that package out too. Cheers everyone and thank you for making this happen.

Hey High Country! I got your package today. I am assuming it is yours anyway. 12 Singles....that's right 12! Eight homebrews and 4 locals. It makes me feel bad for sending Junket and Bug only 5 apiece. Feelings! I just cracked Mexican Pony IPA(awesome balance) and have the Bo Pils and Choc Stout still ready to go.

Merry Christmas, brother Taboot...meant to send tasting notes and some other info, but my printer hosed on me. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. Hope the locals are beers that you can't get there in Indiana. The closest decent bottle shop is an hour away from me, and I don't get to the city too often these days. Enjoy the brews!

This has been a blast! Many thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.

And what did I find outside? A box with a MoreFlavor return address...How did they fit that brew sculpture in such a small box? I asked myself.

But I was only slightly disappointed. Not a sculpture or a conical, but four bombers from Doc! Frickin' sweet! Got me a Dad's Little Helper (I have a two-month old, so I need that), a Trippel from 12/08, a chocolate coconut stout and an alt that I'm really excited to try.

Doc - I've heard you mention what it costs you personally to brew (sort of in the same boat) so that will make these that much sweeter! Saving them for Christmas day. We've got 8 inches of fresh and more on the way....Happy Holidays to everyone!
