I think that in order for it to register that its coming from the BN, as opposed to just a naked link, it needs all the other stuff in there? I edited a couple of your original links WBB, you can see the diff between the 21A one and the BeerSmith one. I think the BS one contains a bunch of redirect stuff that might be crucial to BN links being registered as coming from here. If you copy the URL of the image, you can insert that into the hyperlink and reproduce the banner ad.

As far as whether this is ok with the higher ups, I don't know but I'm willing to help out on it until we get told to stop.
