Thanks for the input spider! I was hoping carbonation would fill it out a bit more, good to hear.

Your infusions sound tasty! I've done vanilla bean in a Gold Barbados Rum & it turned out awesome...really complimented the honey notes in the rum perfectly. I've also done Bourbon Vanilla Rooibos tea blend in Vodka and it was thee shit! You're in for a serious treat :pop

Yeah, mine are all separate, but I may do some combination trials to...

I read that as you're in for a serious 'teat'.

Haha, a serious teat!

Yeah, agreed, combos can be good but I like to keep them single item infusions as well. It's nice to try them individually first & most of the time they're best that way. My Rooibos tea just came that way, I suppose they mixed the dry Rooibos with some shredded bourbon vanilla bean...it's a great combo just as a tea even. I'm hoping to try it in a brew some day soon!

Trader Joes also has those dried orange cranberries, I'd like to try those in an infusion as well. Lemme know how your infusions turn out. How long are you gonna let them steep for?

The vanilla and cinnamon have been in there for two weeks or so, I forgot to write down what day I started... Just waiting till I grab a some good bottles to put them into. The cranberry and Roobios have been there a week I think.

Just wait til Lipsti-cember... :unicornrainbow:
The cinnamon I used was from a huge bag my wife brought back with her from India a few years back... they are flat pieces rather than the curled sticks, but other than that I'm not sure... it's a beautiful red color, I drained and strained the vanilla, cinnamon, and cranberry last night, the roobios was last in, so gonna leave that a bit. I think I'm gonna do some bigger batch infusions of the cinn and package in clear 187s with waxed tops to give to local friends for Xmas... would be leery about including that to my SS recipient though.

Very nice spider, did you get a chance to taste them? I'm particularly interested in hearing how the cinnamon & cranberry came out.

The thought of sending some of my limoncello to my SS, along with brew, had also crossed my mind but I'm thinkin it may not be worth the risk.

So............when does the official infusion board go live on the site
