Fixing a Scotch Ale

Wed Mar 30, 2011 7:37 pm

I recently brewed a Scotch Strong Ale from extract, and it seems somewhat flavorless, with a possible infection taste. Is there anything I can do to fix it? :aaron

Dry hop it? What do you got to lose? Use EKG or something like that...

In case you are comparing the flavor to other scotch strong ales you have tasted, it's gonna take a good while for the malt to come forward and blend into a robust flavor. Like several months. If you don't think it's just a green beer in this way, what was your FG and what type of yeast did you use at what temp.
