I hate to point out the obvious but a blue glass is going to make any beer look darker than it is.

Yes I thought of that too but here it is after a full 14 days bottled. Very drinkable. I gave a beer to my supervisor (whom is also a brewmaster for the local brewpub) and a guy from the lab that used to homebrew when in college. They'll give me feedback on it. When I think of a hefe, I think gold, not amber. To be fair this is the first one I've had and have only seen pictures of commercial beers as a gauge. None were this dark.
