There's something very mystical about having your stir bar in your fermenting wort. The lag times are shorter, the beer finishes clear, and my hangovers don't hurt as bad. The beer doesn't do too bad at comps either. (maybe that's how the Pope wins all of his medals)

Besides, I have called in more than my fair share to be the drunk of the week. You gotta give me that...
