I want to build a Jockey Box

Thu Jul 10, 2008 3:24 pm

I am getting married in a couple of weeks and made a bunch of homebrew to serve at the wedding. I want to make a jockey box to serve it from. Does anyone have any tips or know of any resources I can use before I tackle this job?

I would think buying a jockey box versus building one would be the easiest thing to do since your getting married in a couple of weeks. But, that's just me.

Congrats on the marriage... Are you aware of the three rings of marriage? First, there is the engagement ring. Then, there is the wedding ring. Finally, there is the suffering. Good luck.

not to boast, but i had my dual tap jockey box given to me by the old brewery I worked at.
With a wedding that close, i would say just buy it whole. Not as fun, but im sure youve got other stuff going right now.

If you are set on building one, the key is getting a cold plate or a stainless steel tubing coil. About the best deal on the SS coil I have found is this one. http://www.servu-online.com/Beer-Taps-a ... H-6150.asp

I've bought other stuff from them and find they have good prices, fast shipping and good service.
