Aging/Cellaring beer question

I have a 3L bottle of the Double Bastard and was curious how long is it ok to tuck this beer away for a special occasion? I figured if I leave it in a dark cool area I should be ok.

There any pros or cons about cellaring this beer?

I'd say drink it young. It was probably bottled at it peak at is only going to degrade with time.

+1. look at the side of the bottle...it probably says something like "Do not store, drink this shit now" or something along those lines.

Or, since I can't get it here, send it to me....I will "store" it for you!!

As a general rule, beers that showcase hoppiness should be consumed ASAP.

well the side of the bottle says "cellar at 55"

I read some stuff online of someone saying they aged one for 3 years and thought it was great. Others said to drink it ASAP.

Thought I'd just get some people's opinion on here.
