Lost Abbey

I'm new to California, just moved down from Oregon and I'm wanting to try some of those Lost Abbey ales over the thanksgiving weekend but I'm not sure which bottles to pick up... What are you're favorites? I'm looking for some full bodied, complex belgian style flavors, not really to be paired with any food, more so just to sip on while spending the day cooking.

I've already picked up a bottle of their Inferno Ale, so other than that, what are the favorites?

Thanks,

Gnome Brewer

Judgement Day is a fantastic earthy belgian style beer (plus it has an awesome label)! Inferno is more of a Belgian Strong Blonde style. Enjoy! :pop

And if Shat ever lays off the pipe for a few minutes - maybe he will be on the show... :)

Yeah... I was just out in Denver this weekend and was able to find so many different Lost Abbey beers. I only had enough room in my luggage to bring back a couple of bottles (had to grab a bunch of Jolly Pumpkin, Damnation and Blind Pig as well). Ended up grabbing the Judgment Day and the Avant Garde. Can't wait to crack them open... but then again, I may wait a while on the Judgment Day... the website says that it ages well!

I remember last year's Gift of the Magi being very good. I'm not sure when this year's version comes out but you really can't go wrong with any of their beers.

Has anyone signed up for the Patron Saints or Sinners clubs? I think registration started today.

Does anyone know how much they charge for shipping every other month?

I did the Saints this year which was dumb since I could get all those beers locally. I'm signed up for Sinners for next year. They shipped FedEx ground and most shipments have been around fifteen dollars to ship to AZ. They ship each selection with a signature requirement so make sure you have it shipped to a place where you can sign for it during the day.

All times are UTC - 8 hours
