Has anyone tried their local microbrewery's version of the PRA celebrating the 300th Anniversary of Benjamin Franklin's birth?

No, but the one I made is wonderful! The keg is nearing empty. I need to make another.

No one in Houston made it... I was depressed about it... so I made it myself as well.

Just bottled it the other day... should be ready in a few weeks. I am going to let it age for about a month to a month and a half before crackin' em open. Now THAT... is torture.

I tried the one at Taps in Brea, CA. Very good. I have 5 gallons that I made that is ready to drink, I am just waiting for either my Vienna lager or my Arrogant Bastard clone kegs to finish up so I can put Poor Richard on tap since I only have two taps in my kegerator.

I finally cracked one of my PRA yesterday... damn that is a GOOD beer! I love the nutty roasty flavor.

What flavor profiles does the molasses add?

Couldn't take it eh? :) I'm surprised and impresed that you lasted this long...

What was your FG? I just kegged mine yesterday, and FG was 1.026, within the range of the recipe, but high. Then again OG was 1.068...
Based on no aging, I could REALLY taste the molasses. I added .25lbs of molasses, and it was smooth, but almost rumlike in flavor. Definitely nice though...

Enjoy!
