Anyone got a good recipe for Summit's Extra Pale Ale? Unfortunatly thats one of the American beers we cant get here in Denmark, but it is never the less one of my favorits. And even though I drink them i raw quanteties when Im in MN, the tast still haunts my brain when I get home.

I spent a lot of time in MN this last year, I had a decent amount of this.. The caramel flavor is pretty pronounced. Definitely Cascade on the finish..

From the summit website:

12.2 plato (1.049)
40-45 IBU
5.3% alcohol
2-row pale, caramel
Color: 14L
Hops: horizon, fuggle, cascade

Try this:
Target OG: 1.049
Target FG: 1.009

92% American 2-row
4% Crystal 60L
4% Crystal 80L

Single infusion mash @ 151.

25.5IBU Horizon @ 60Min.
10IBU Fuggle @ 30 Min.
5IBU Cascade @ 5 Min.

Dry hop with .5 oz. Cascade per/5gal. for 2weeks

There was an article on this beer in this months issue of BYO magazine. I brewed it up and it was very close to the original. I think it is my water profile that subdued the hops a bit. I would try to find the magazine. If you cant find the magazine check their website, if its not on their website. I'll post it here upon request.

Here is the clone from BYO:

OG=1.049 FG=1.010
IBU=45 SRM=13 ABV=5.2%

3.3# Briess light LME
2.5# light DME
2oz C60L
10oz C90L

17g Horizon 13%AA @60
14g Fuggle 4.75%AA @30
14g Cascade 5.75%AA @30
14g Cascade 5.75%AA @0

WLP001

Ferment @68*F

Don't know how accurate any of this is, never brewed it. Quite a few BYO clones seem suspect to me...
Anyway, hope this helps.
