Ok Doc...
Do you have a good extract pilsner recipe with specialty grains? Or anyone at that.
I would like to ferment this like an Ale since I am without an extra refridgerator for lagering. Do you think it will turn out good?
Thanks!

I'm not on my home computer right now (where my recipes are) but I have a light ale that might be what you're looking for. I'll have to convert it to extract for you. Would that fit?
Trying to do a lager w/o temp control (~50F), (wheather it's natural (in your cold basement) or in a refrigerator), is (IMHO) asking for trouble.
Cheers,
Dr Scott

OK since I asked Jon, Doc do you have your recipes on-line?
Thanks, and brew on!

No, I don't have them online. Just in my home database (promash) and some older ones in SUDS. This may change in the future.
Never really had any reason to put them out there. That is, until the brewing network took off...
Cheers, Dr Scott

I had a feeling top fermenting wouldn't be a good idea for a Pilsner. Thought I'd ask.
Thanks for the replies!
