Haven't seen mention of an all-Chinook beer. I have a large amount and want to experiment, but I also want a good beer to drink as well. Any advice?

It will likely be rather resiny and piney, but if you like that, go ahead! If it turns out you don't like it, then you can always brew an English IPA and blend them.

I made my last IPA with chinook for bittering, some english hops in the middle, and chinook again in the dry hop. The aroma was disappointing, so much so that I re dryhopped it with columbus.

Perhaps your hops are fresher than mine and you will be able to get more aroma from them.

Cpt. I say go with the recipe you have listed and learn from it. If its not what you had anticipated or overboard on bittering etc.. Make the adjustments and do it again. I made variations of the same four recipes(styles) before I started thinking about anything else. This helped me to:

1) enjoy good beer
2) learned lots and still learning
3) increase beer belly to 43"
4) developed two monsterous compost piles with spent grain
5) more beer drinking

As long as you are not adding bleach, sanitizer or other agents while drunk/sleep walking (Chooch) then you may be fine.

I think Northern Brewer has an All Chinook kit. May want to ask over there if anyone has tried it.

Thanks Bentwood! So I guess I wasn't crazy after all. I tweaked my recipe last night. OG 1.064 with 61.2 IBUs. NB's is 1.050 with 57.5 IBUs according to my calculations. I'm putting in more hops, but more late additions.
