Hi There.
My malt pusher just got Mangrove Jack's Brewing Company yeast in. Anyone have any experience with this?

I have seen them in the catalogs, but have not tried them.

*disclaimer, dry yeast is $5-7 and liquid is often $18-20 (before shipping)*
I have used the hefe yeast, the Newcastle dark yeast in a 60/-, the London yeast in a stout and the burton yeast in an esb/pale ale thingamy.
The hefe yeast does not attenuate that well but being al grain I just mashed low and slow and got to where it needed to be also the krausen is massive thick and it fermented out in 24 hours (open fermentation).
The Newcastle dark fermented out in 3 days and was perfectly clear when I bottled about 4 days later.
The London ale and burton ale were all much the same.
I have used the pils yeast last year but due to a balls up on my end I massively under pitched, however it still worked well.
Is there anything specifically you wish to know about them?

I fermented 4 lagers with the M84, BoPils yeast. 3 were with harvested yeast. The new dry yeast would not start fermenting when 2 packs were rehydrated and pitched at 50F. I raised temp to 57F until it started then dropped it to 53F. This has been documented by others multiple times over at HBT. The harvested yeast started fine when pitched at 48-50F.
Post-ferm it is very hazy and tastes like pineapple. It needs to be crashed and gelled to produce a fine lager. All 4 of my batches with it came out good with my Czech pils being the best. The first pitch with it is problematic though.

A little late to the party but I used their U. S West coast last week. Waiting for it to finish.

Right, I have a friend who brew with it and he says all the Mangrove Jack yeasts are slow starters but once they start they finish the job in no time and drop like a rock.

Funny I've been using a lot of dry yeast recently and I was going to say that same thing. Whenever I pitch the rehydrate yeast it kicks off very quickly, but the one took sometime to get going. But now it's going great.
