I brewed an IPA that I was planning on adding gypsum to, but forgot. Does anyone have any experience with adding gypsum after boil/ferment? Seems like I could just boil some up and rack on to it during transfer to secondary. Palmer doesn't seem to mention that it needs to be directly added to the mash to be soluble, as is the case with something like calcium carbonate.

Yes, you can add it after the mash, boil, or ferment. It is fully soluble, but it does take some time to dissolve.
