I bottled my english ale yesterday. It has one unusual ingredient. 4 teabags of Black English Breakfast tea steeped in 64 oz of water for 10 minutes and added to primary. I was hoping to make an English ale with slight undertones of English tea. I tasted it out of secondary and the tea didnt really stand out, but it also didn't ruin it, the beer is good...

I realized after I started brewing, that I should have called into the show and asked Justin about teabags, I heard Daniela say that he likes "teabagging" once. I dont know what that means, but I guess he's some kind of expert.

Oh well, at least I get some interesting name ideas with this one

Next time you could try brewing a strong tea and adding the liquid to the secondary.

Great idea! I actually drink a cold brew form of coffee. I've heard of several brewers adding coffee to their beers this way, I have yet to do it myself. I don't see why it wouldn't work with tea too.

Here's a link to the website for the coffee maker I use.
