I know the old version of BeerSmith had an option to do this but I can't seem to find any new software/web site that has this option. As a new brewer I would like to try my hand at different styles but don't really know much about them.

So along these lines I was given a great Christmas gift of a package of different specialty grains. So I was wondering if anyone here could suggest some styles I could brew given the ingredients I have. Of course leaving out the base malts or extracts and I can always buy more grains and the specific hops needed. Just not sure what grains go into making each style. I was thinking Porter/Stout or Dubbel.

This is what was given...

10oz Briess Black Patent
9oz dingemans biscuit
12oz special roast
8oz special b
7oz chocalate malt
4oz aromatic
13oz smoked malt
4oz Munich
16oz caraMunich 2

Do you have Brewing Classic Styles? it has a recipe for each style; that would be a good place to start.

Looks like I can do this at the Hopville site. I can search by ingredient and it will give me a list of recipes. But thanks for the info.
