1968 yeast clump?

Gota starter of 1968 yeast going on the stir plate. Not familiar with this yeast. Mine is clumped and looks like cottage cheese swirling in the flask. Normal for this strain? Been going 1 day on the stir plate.

Yep, that is normal for 1968.

I've used this yeast several times. It has attitude and will finish quickly. Very fun to watch in a glass carboy.

yes that is absolutely normal. Makes great beer. It may appear to have dropped bright before it has really finished so make sure you take gravity before transfering it to keg or bottle. Its nice to have absolutely crystal clear beer before it even leaves primary.
