Reusing Hops?

Just listened to the hop shortage show from 07 with Ralph from Hop Union. Just wondering if anyone has ever reused hops in their brewing. I'm thinking hops in a hopback or even just late addition hops could be saved and used as a bittering addition for the next brew. The closest I've come with this was using an ounce of Centennial as my 60 min addition that I'd previously made a tea from to use as the liquid portion of a spent grain bread I'd made (interestingly bitter, but aroma and flavor didn't come through in the bread). I figured that the steep I'd made for the bread still left a decent amount of alphas in the hops, so I though them in early, but the beer had an additional 8 ounces, so I don't know how much it contributed...
