stale grain?

Hello BNA! I've got a brown paper bag of crushed grains for a bock I was planning to make 9 months ago still sitting in my garage. I had an equipment accident and had to transition back to extract for the time being. My question is, is the grain still usable? Does grain get stale or spoil? The temp has varied between freezing and probably 60 during that time. Any help would be appreciated.
Brian

I think you would be fine as long as it was uncrushed. Have a taste of it first though. If it's crunchy, it should be good.

He said it was crushed. The longest I have ever stored crushed grain was a month before I purchased a mill.
I'd toss it and get some fresh grain if I were you.
Why celebrate your return to all grain with a crappy batch?
As he said above, taste it and you will know.

Oops. Poor reading on my part. Sorry. Yeah, if it's crushed, I agree with you, bc.
