Temp Question

The last brew that I made I let it ferment for about 14 days at 68. On day 15 I dropped the temp to about 42 for 24 hours, then transfered to my keg. I did this to get a bunch of sediment to drop to the bottom.
I just wanted to make sure this was an ok thing to do, or did this cause problem.
Thanks for the help

Sounds good to me! How did it taste? What was the SG when you transferred?

SG was about 1.017 ABV 4.75%
At first beer had a very strong alcohol taste/smell to it, now that it has been in the keg for about a week or so it is starting to really taste great, especially with a little lemon in it!

sounds like you did ok then...
I would suggest when crash cooling let it sit 2-3 days, you will get more to drop out.
And the mellowing... depending on the type/style of beer mellowing may be needed or not, sounds like what you made needed it.

Fruit in your beer... You woman.

Let it age for a month or so and I would bet money that it will taste just great.
