Do you know how long the keg lining will last? The last keg had a very metallic flavor. I know it's not the beer, because it tastes great in the bottle. Any ideas on how long the lining lasts?

No it's the 5L (1.25gallon) party keg. You may have seen them in stores fulll of commercial beer.

Nah,
I'm from a rinky dink little town in Canada, we don't get good stuff like that. I always thought those bad boys were glass, sounds like they are aluminium or some sort of composite, so if you are using a bleach base sanitiser it would be history in a heart beat. The best way to handle them would be boiling water, the linings are designed to handle hot process which is normally how the manufacturers of the cans expect it to be treated rather than chemically.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm going to move to cornies. I don't have lots of room in my fridge, but I think I have enough room for one corny.
