The once and future kegger

I have had a kegerator for a few yews now, but haven't used it for homebrew yet. I have found that commercial kegged beer will last about 6 months before it goes bad. I am a new homebrewer and plan to keg my next batch. How long does a keg of home brew last before getting off flavors? I know the answer is "it depends", but can anyone give me a ball park?

Cheers,

Allen

yeah it does depend
alc strength
filtered/non filtered
Amouint of Hops
Temp of beer in storage
Co2 Pressure

will all have an effect but generally you will get 6 months or more........if you can keep it that long.

Higher strenth higher hopped beer will last much longer than a 3% 15 IBU ale

Agreed.
Generally if you don't have CO2 leaks you will be in good shape for as long as you hve the beer. ... also the care you put into the beer from the boil on will determine it's stability. I am thinking oxidization/ maybe some Hot Side Aration. these tend to show up later in the timeline.. I never have been there.
