bottling wine?

Can wine be bottled in beer bottles?

Don't see why not. It's not traditional but I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work. I think wine competitions would probably want the traditional wine bottles. I suppose for long term aging you might want cork contact to contribute to the flavor profile for some wines.

I use crown capped champagne bottles with no trouble. I suppose if I ever need them to look nice for a dinner or something I can dip the tops in colored wax to gussy them up.
