I know this is nothing groundbreaking, but last weekend I collected 15 gallons of a pale ale wort from my mash into my boil kettle. Stirred it real good when it was near boiling, then pumped half of it over to my empty hot liquor tank. Hopped one kettle with all cascade and the other with Amarillo and citra. Definetly some planning required, but cool to get two totally different beers from one (long) brewday!

nice idea man, it'll be good to compare the different hops on beers with the same grain bill!

I've thought about trying that too, or brewing an extract batch at the same time as an AG. More beer in the same time.

Next batch I'm planning on mashing 100% pilsner, splitting it and making one super hoppy pilsner and a Golden Strong. Just need to pick up another temp controller.

Reading Gordon's book, he talks about steeping crystal malts and dark malts and adding them to the wort in the boil kettle. That opens up alot of options.

I only get to brew about once a month, so got to make the most of it.

All times are UTC - 8 hours
