qustion re: brewing big beers episode/partigyle question

jz talked about splitting the grain bill in half and using a brew in bag technique. the idea is make a beer with half the grain bill then pull and dump the spent grain, then mas in the second half of the grain to the beer. my question is how would you adjust your mash time? double it? (ie if one hour mash, 1st grain addition would get an hour and second an hour)?

That would be my guess. Or, use an iodine test.
