Yeast nutrients and/or energizer have been helpful to my beers in the past to assure high attenuation. For stuck fermentations, a little yeast energizer can take the batch down another 10 points or more in some instances. I think the yeast sometimes gets tired for who knows what reason, but then the nutrients give them a little energy to start moving again.
