I love Oskar Blue's Ol Chub. Thats the best scotch ale Ive had. I'll give this beer a try what kind of schedule and Ellis, does the winner also get to be the next HQ for judging?

Anyone brew yet? I just picked up my grain, 24# I had to get Denny's Favorite yeast, since they didn't have WY1728 or wlp028. I hope that comes out okay...

Looks like it needs at least 3 months in the keg before they start to taste ok.

I haven't yet. Been too windy or too busy lately. I hope to soon. Good luck!

I'm going to start building up my starter on Monday and I hope to be able to brew Friday. My OG will be 1.108 and I'll I have to step up to 480 billion cells. This will be the biggest beer that i've made,.

I finally tried an old chub and that beer is way too sweet for me. I know the style calls for sweet, but for me it falls into the cloying category. I think I'm going to change me recipe to a variation of Jamil's strong Scotch Ale.
