Moskow got back to me and would prefer that we do the judging ourselves. He made a good point that their palates would likely be destroyed before the show if they judged a bunch of porters. The 8th of October should be the date of the show but that date is not yet set in stone.
I think that gives us till probably Oct 1st at the latest to have the beers judged so the winner can send beers in with plenty of time. We need to figure out where the beers are going and when we should have them there. I like the idea of them all being judged at one location if possible.
Volunteers to drink a bunch of good beer and pick the best one?

Does everyone have their beer brewed? I still need to brew and I'm not sure I can get a porter ready and shipped. I could probably cut the primary down to 14 days and ramp up the temp to clean it up, but that won't give it much conditioning time.

Same here Nervousdad. Im kind of straining to find time to brew this beer. Between taking care of the kiddo and visiting my sick grandmother its going to be difficult. If I brew on monday im hoping i can get it done in time to send or if Im judging I can get it up and ramp up the co2

Mine will go into kegs next week. The only other confirmed brew is Mr. HairyNeckBeardBrewerGuyThing.
Porky, Neck, Ozziewald, Pies, Grod, Mi6op, Eagle, NervousDad and myself are those who have showed interest so far. If it's just Mr. StubbleUnderChinBeardBrewistGuyThing and I then it will look even worse when I lose and there was only one other beer. Which of you plan on brewing/entering?

How did I get thrown in there? I haven't been able to brew since May & at the current rate of the new brewery build, I might not even be brewing next May. Glad you guys are doing something, but definitely don't expect something from me.
