Well that's f'ing exciting. I enjoyed it and I'm glad I lucked out with the judges liking it too. All I did was make a Dortmunder and added porter extract at bottling. Glad listening to Tasty has payed off. :pop

Let's figure out when we would like the next beer to be due since that may effect what style we brew. How often do we want to do this. Every 2, 3, 4 months?

Big shout out to Pork for getting off his hams and pushing this comp along. Also to the judges who obviously have amazing palates. :bnarmy:

I'd love to do the comp every 4 months, and perhaps pic a beer style from the Brewing with Style itinerary, so that we can do our own little judging, and then the winner can send a bottle into the show, I bet Jamil, Tasty, and Moscow would have fun tasting the winning brew on their show.

March 15th maybe for the next brew to be due?

I'm thinking we should brew a.......

Strong Scotch Ale

http://www.bjcp.org/2008styles/style09.php#1e

I've never brewed one but I've been hammering on this Oskar Blues Ol' Chub lately and I'm a huge fan. Also, I don't think it's a style that requires any special temps or procedures so everyone should be able to take a shot.

I wanna play too!

I think a Strong Scotch Ale would be fun! My dad loves those but I have yet to brew one.

Should I make it chocked full of that hideous smoked peat malt? That should clinch a win.
Fermenting: Black IPA, Barley Wine, Cider and Imperial Stout

Previous man crushes: Nathan, Tasty, JP and Justin

Future man crush: Maybe Jamil or Doc
