FW UJ IPA CYBI

Sun Aug 22, 2010 7:41 am

I brewed up an extract/steeping grains version of this 2 weeks ago. Everything went pretty well during the brew. Cooled down and pitched at 17C. Two days later let the temp rise to 19C. Smelled lots of CO2 emmissions. Racked to secondary to dry hop and gravity reading is only down to 1.035  Set the dry hopping carboy in 21C to see if the bit of yeast will crank up some more fermentation to get down to 1.020-1.025.

How long was it in primary before you racked to secondary?

2 weeks. After warming up to 21C with the DH's, it's kicked back up. The only thing I can think of is that I used the Wyeast 1928 "equivalent" to the WLP 002. Maybe it likes it a bit warmer. Thanks.

I am not sure if you mean the 1028 or 1968, but the latter is the equivalent of WLP002. I hope you made it below 1.020 too!
