Picked too late...that is the question?

Sat Sep 03, 2011 1:58 pm

I finally managed to pick my cascade this weekend. I was wondering based upon the picture did I pick too late? I have some nice green ones, very brown ones(which I tossed out) and then some that have brown tips/leaves.

Am I screwed?

Thanks in advance.

Those are fine, ideally you should pick them before they start turning brown but that rarely happens for me. I usually throw them out if more than 1/3 of the cone is brown, although when I pick there are usually only 10 or so like that out of 100's.
