Can anybody tell me how to select a appropriate malt mill upon a quantity of desired grinded malt.
For example:


Malt mill is designed for an average amount of grain up to 10 kg/day and has a performance of 40 - 60 kg/h.

If performace is 40-60 kg/h why you can grind only 10kg of malt per day?
Does exist standard formula for calculating this?

How about professional malt grinder - how is there selected a appropriate model ?

My question in general is malt capacity vs. kg/day of grinded malt upon capacity of mill .

EXAMPLE:
I want to mill 1t of malt a day. How do i choose a appropriate model upon a datasheet, where it is only given a malt capacity (kg/h) of mill?

The kg/day limitation is in place because the mill would wear out too quickly if you use it for the kind of volume you're referencing.

Why kg per day?
Grain crushers for our customers are always planned by us with regard to a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly demand. It will be expressed best by kg per day. We would like to avoid that customers plan their machines by speed (kg/h) or by engine power (kW). The engine power isn't very significant and the speed itself is very high even with small machines. Because of this it is very easy for a customer to be led into temptation to buy a small machine and accept a longer running of the machine. But, please, keep in mind that the rollers will be worn out by every hour running. The result is a very short lifetime of the machine and by this an unsatisfied customer.
