Just brewed a Weizen last weekend...realized to late that i didnt put my whirlfloc in so know i am trying to decide my next approach. To i leave it cloudy as it is appropriate to style. How cloudy will it be? and i am thinking about using gelatin but i have never used it and i am also wondering if i will end up with a crystal weizen if i use it.
and i know this has probably been answered several times elsewhere....but tonight i just feel especially lazy...i have no excuse. :bnarmy:

I'd add nothing this time, just leave it be to settle out itself

The first question would be, which version of the style were you shooting for?? if it's the "mit-hefe" version then don't worry about it.....if you were trying for a krystal weizen, then maybe try some geletin, or something along those lines.....if it were me....I'd leave it as is and enjoy it the way it was meant !!!!

Once thing start to slow down, any break material should settle fairly readily. Gelatin would mostly be dropping your yeast, and have less effect on any proteins in solution. I'd say time and temperature would be the way to go to get it dropped more.

I've done that more than once.
I just boil some water toss the WF in and when it's cool enough I stir the brew and pour the WF in. Give it a while and siphon it off the trub into the fermenter and it's all good.

Once I added it to the fermenter coz I forgot till after I'd transferred it. Still not a problem.
