I mixed a mead and a hard cider together. Now I can not figure out what the new ABV would be. Here is what I did:
2 gal of mead (OG 1.130, FG 1.060)
5 gal of hard cider (OG 1.065, FG .996)

If my calculations are correct (which isn't saying much), you have:
2 Gal Mead - 9% ABV
5 Gal Cider - 9.2% ABV
I'm no Rocket Surgeon, but I think that would ballpark you with 7 gallons at about 9% ABV.

OK, I have to stop psoting when I am off on cousin. That would make sense that the ABV would still be 9%
I am glad that I don't brew on cousin....should just stick to the norm of watchin movies, listening to music and banging the wife

No worries brotha! Been there! I gave up on tree a long time ago because of how stupid it seemed to make me.
No one should ever spend over an hour trying to explain how a circle drawn on a piece of paper is the meaning of life...

Who cares about the ABV, I want to know if it taste good. Never mixed myself, done little mead but do a lot of cider (wife loves the cider) and if it makes it better, I need to know
