Tis the season so I thought, despite my noob status, it might be worth resurrecting this thread. I did a beer brine with a home brewed traditional bock last year. It was amazing! Had family and some new friends who had just moved to the area with no nearby family over for turkey day and they all claimed it was the best turkey they've ever had! I used Sean Paxton's recipe, btw. Gonna do it again this year (there really is no going back), but I have no homebrew ready hence I will use something like guinness or alaskan amber (leaving enough to drink during cooking...and brining).
What are other folks doing this year?
Primary: Golden Sour, Cider
Secondary: Golden Sour w/cherries, Raspberry Melomel
Cellar-Aging: Blackberry Melomel, Hawaiian Wildflower Mead
Kegged and on-tap: Berliner Weisse, Lorena Hop-it
Up Next: Something for the new barrel
