I just finished listening to the episode of Brewstrong on packaging 2. They touched on corking and Neither John or Jamil seemed to have much insight into the corking. But I recall this video that may shed some light on the subject. It may have to do more with wine, but you get the picture on all you need to know about corks. It is Hulu, so you have sit through a short add.
