It's with a heavy heart I report to you one of my favorite drinking spots closed its doors today. Sacramento brewing company had been in business for 15 years and been a place for a lot of my friends and I to drink and have a great meal. Here's to Sacramento brewing and Peter Hoey, I wish them a quick return and a big fat thank you for their years of great service and beer! Salut!

That Sucks! We've had half a dozen brewpubs close in the Chicago area in the past year. For all the shitty resteraunts that stay open it's that much worse when a good brewpub closes.

Amen. I'll definitely miss Sac Brewing, but I hope that Peter is able to do more good things with Odonata Beer Company.

Captain Carrot - as a long-ago Chicago resident, which six have gone under? I probably left before there were even six!

I just tried to call the brewery and the phone just rings and rings. This is a serious bummer. I live 5 minutes from this great brewery. I had no idea. I should have gone more.

Peter makes a great point about the need to support local breweries. We've lost three in the Sacramento area in the past year. If you enjoy your local brewery or brewpub, drop in and have a few pints or grab a sixer next time you're at the store.

yep, thanks for reiterating that Cd. It's a real wake up call when a place of sac brew's esteem and reputation goes under. Support you local microbrewery! I"m excited to see what comes from odonata though!
