So I'm looking to build about 15 stir plates. Where should I be looking for cheap rheostats, power supplies, etc?
I can gather up some stuff that I have laying around, but no where near enough.
Thanks
Travis

For power supplies go to a goodwill store or garage sales and look for stuff with "wall warts"... that shit is everywhere, especially old computer modems (external)

The kicker is the enclosure and the stir bars.
The rest: fan, power supply, dimmer, can be found anywhere. Enclosures you can be creative about. A dude on the green board used cigar boxes. Stir bars... you kinda gotta pay for the real thing.
Good luck!

I found old CD cases for .99 at a local electronics shop. Just had to be careful when drilling the clear plastic.

I am really cheap and used an upside down ice-cream container as my enclosure. It works.
