Word on the street around San Joaquin Valley. Not sure how far this extends, but who knows, could be statewide.

Don't get yourself in trouble, but watch out for the other guy too! For some reason these last couple shopping weekends always seem to bring out the irresponsible DB's.

worth a bump, not only for NorCal, but for everybody. The money you save on that cab ride home isn't worth ANYBODY's life (including your own).

If you find yourself too tipsy to safely get behind the wheel, give these folks a call for a free tow and ride home.

The AAA offers this program in several states, you will need to check first to see if this is available in your area. Here in Nebraska we don't have this particular program, but in Lincoln and Omaha there are a couple of law firms that are working with local cab companies to give folks a free ride home. Check around to see if your community has such a program.

Have a safe and happy New Year! I will be staying home with a lot of really good beer. Too much ice on the streets and too many drunks on the road to suit me.
