I can link to images but I can put one in a post.

Is there something I don't know?

Opening that link, on the left side there are severl boxes with code in them. You want the direct link, which is:
http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af143/zydaco/Rotatingdiptube.jpg
Use img tags instead of url tags, and viola:

I've triedthose by cvlicking on the Img link second in from the right above the text input box when posting.
Nothing happened.

It did not work.
I clicked on the "Img" link and got the following"
{img}{/img} ( I replaced the [] with {} in this post merely for illustrative purposes but in the post above I left them as they came
All I got was the word "image" where a picture should have been


I'll try manually typing the code in this time:

and "submt"

Nope no image at all just that annoying word "Image"

And below are the results of my efort at using the [ Img ] code (without the whitespaces of course)

I put the URL I cut and pasted from the URL location bar inbetween the [ Img ] code no whitespaces no extra anything and nuthin'.
It just doesn't friggen work.

you have the correct understanding of how to post a picture, but I think you're using the wrong link.

When I click on the link in the above post, I'm taken to this http://s1002.photobucket.com/albums/af1 ... =anAle.jpg which is what you've put between your image tags and what is in the Web address bar at the top of the page. I can tell that by quoting your post and seeing the code that way.

what you need to do is use the "IMG Code" which is in the "share this image" box to the left of your picture. When I click on the link is to the left of your picture of a mug of beer:


or without the image tags just http://i1002.photobucket.com/albums/af1 ... /anAle.jpg

If you click the IMG Code box, it will automatically copy the picture for you and put the {img}{/img} tags around it so all you have to do it past it into your post and you're all set

Yup I see it.
It is the same thing one gets when one clicks the hyper link in that orange horizontal listabove the text portion of a post in this forum

and
[/img]
with the URL for the image in between them

There I copied it from the Photobucket site They use caps.
