So you got a lynx and *didn't* name it Bubastis?

You lost me on that one. I vaguely remember that Bubastis was an ancient Egyptian (or was it Turkish?) city, but what does that have to do with a lynx? The closest lynx to Egypt are in Spain (and not too many of them anymore either) and the closest lynx to Turkey are in Russia, I believe.

Sorry, yeah, Egyptian city but it was the name of the genetically engineered lynx in Watchmen.

You might have to change your name to Ozymandias-wald then though.

Oh. The closest I ever came to reading a comic book was when someone brought one into art class in junior high school. Forget what it was, but he said it was awesome and worth some coin. I made it a page and a half before I gave it back. Not my thing, I guess. Ranks somewhere around those fantasy novels, drivers that have to come to damn near a complete stop before making a right turn and all gas station burritos.

Well the little fucker's 10.5 months old now. Here's a little update. Almost full grown, probably only another 15 lbs more when he's full sized.

He makes more different noises than an orchestra collaborating with the Chemical Brothers. The growl doesn't even phase me anymore, but from other people's reactions, I'd have to say the most pissed off Rott wouldn't scare someone as much as when he's just playing. He's got the big cat growl for sure. His purr is surprisingly deep... and loud. The wake you up at night sort of loud.

The dog next door (2-3 yr old Boxer) hates cats with a passion - usually growling & going ape-shit trying to get at them... but he just stares at our window & whimpers. Yeah, he knows.

Of course we can't see the whole thing, but congrats on keeping the furniture in one piece.

Oh sorry, it shows up on my monitor. I'll try to size it down a little bit.
