Ditto with The Gimp. For editing MP3s, I use MP3DirectCut. You can adjust the gain and edit the clips as well. And it is also free.

Thanks for the help everyone. I other Q is where the hell do I get or how do I copy the Jane Asshat? I've been trying like hell to get that image...help pleez.
