Hmmm...is that a "shit, I hate Absinthe" ugh, or a "Man, I love it but had too much" ugh?

I've never had it myself. Would like to one day.

there is a reason that to serve it you put ice in a glass, place a cube or 2 of sugar on an absinthe spoon and drizzle water over the sugar until in disolves into the light green liquid. it tastes really bad even after all of that, it will make you take back stuff you didn't even steal and it gives you the worse fuckin hangover in the world. i feel for you Sully, i got stomped by the green monster in the Czech Republic. If cutting off my ear would have made that hangover go away, i would have done it.
I'm enjoying my 6-pack....my 6-pack of Superbowl trophies!

it tastes really really bad .. I don't care how much ice water and sugar and whatever you ad to it, chocolate and vagina wouldn't help

Well I could run with that joke, but I won't. It may of also been the Duvel, two bottles of red wine and then the absinthe on top of the sushi Stef made. BTW, the absinthe is locally produced on the great island of Alameda here in the easy bay from the good folks at St. George Spirits.

Good stuff and way better than the Czech stuff.

We did a absinthe show on beerschool.

http://www.beerschool.com/158/i-dont-feel-absinthe/

Our brilliant guest, Justine, did a great job of explaining everything. Check it out. Went through history and serving. Was a good time and a good buzz, too.
