If you can get your hands on photoshop use that. If not gimp is free and pretty powerful.

Audacity for audio. I believe that is free too.

I have the Gimp installed on my computer but have never used it. I use Paint Shop Pro both at home and at work.

But of course for all of my most important work, MSPaint is the way to go. :D
