I work in downtown dc below ground level in an office building near the white house. The pots and pan rattled on the rack in the kitchen(im a chef), the scariest part was the roaring sound that sounded like a freight train derailing above our heads. We assumed it was a baby nuke or a metro rail derailing in the station below us. You could hear the steel beams staining and groaning as the building swayed. My cooks booked ass up to steet level without any promting. Kinda felt like we where in a sci fi movie(Mega Quake 11.0). The sound is what really is freaky...this was the second one this year(although much bigger than the other one this last winter).
