First batch question

I brewed my first batch (5 gallon extract American Pale Ale) on Sunday and everything seems to have been going well till now. 3 days in (Wednesday) and the fermentation seems to have stalled. It has been bubbling away up until this morning. The fermentor temperature is reading 70, though was up to 72 yesterday.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Sounds fine. Let it sit for another week, check the gravity a couple times to be sure it has bottomed out, and then bottle. Welcome to homebrewing.

Ahh thanks, would it be worth putting it into secondary fermentation?

no leave it on the primary yeast. Even thought it looks like the yeast are not doing anything they are actually cleaning up some unwanted products from fermentation. I say leave it on the yeast atleast 7 days 10 days would be better.

Give your carboy a quick swirl and kick some of that yeast back into suspension. Did your fermentation create a decent 1-2 in. Krausen?

Also, watch the temperatures. try to keep it down closer to 68 or less to help keep it cleaner.
A wet t-shirt wrapped around the carboy/bucket will do wonders for temperature control.

It is fine, don't even worry about temps yet. It is your first batch, just have patience the beer will turn out fine as long as you were sanitary and you wait until fermentation is done before bottling. Also welcome to the hobby.

Thanks Guys, I will give it a swirl when i get home and see what that does. The temperature has dropped to 68 so I think things have slowed down (ambient is 68).
