AND, as you can see, this forum is totally dead, it's very unlikely you will get much help here. Try Homebrewtalk forum instead, a lot more traffic there. Reddit is okay but generally less stellar quality feedback. No other forums really have good traffic anymore.

And finally... as luck would have it, I have developed equations to estimate IBUs from both boil hop and whirlpool hop additions. It's all here, two different methods, actually, see top of page, then square-root based approximation equations at the bottom of the page. Hope this helps you or somebody out there.

Did a keyword search on the website for shows and nothing either. It was around May 2018 when I made a very sparse note about using a densifier to prep concrete pour to survive the hardships of a brewery floor without dropping $25,000+ for a floor coating. If anyone remembers the episode or brewery/person being interview, please let me know. We are going to be pour a floor in the coming months and would like to see how that guy's floor is doing.
Thanks!

I stepped away from the homebrew community for a few, ehem, years when life and living got in the way of making my own beer. Between life, death, divorce, homelessness, illness, and now this nonsense I am reminded of the sage words of Charley P. to relax and have a homebrew! Since being laid off as a cook at a local private college in Lakeland, FL I now find myself reminded that this is where most of us started in the HOBBY and avocation of brewing beer, to make a better beer than the crap of overpriced and frankly, really bad beer. Even with the growth of interesting craft beers, it too has become bloated corporate entities who can no longer make the bottom line with their businesses. Hell, the Tampa area has a co-op of craft brewerrs who have ground to a halt with the uptake of COVID-19. So, anyone actually MAKING any beer?

JP, Justin, Jamil, anyone?

Hoping someone replies to this message in a bottle,

Visa versa with beer. Does anyone on this forum think it would be possible or favorable to use cold water to reduce the temperature of the wort? Is the differences really so big? If wort chillers work so well how come they are not used in cooling the must?
thinking about brewing I wonder what would happen if I did the oppisite. meaning if I used cold water in a beer batch or using a wort chiller with must. Probably in the case with must is the chiller would get a bit sticky. That would be the only reason for not using it in a must, However word does get sticky also.

Re: RSS Feed

Hey man. I just had the same problem. No RSS feeds published on the website anywhere and I'm not an Itunes user. Your post turned up in my searches, so hopefully this helps anyone else googling in the future.

I entered these feeds into Podcast Addict and they seem to work fine:

It's been a while, but I thought a few of you deserved to know. Ninkasi hasn't been doing well lately. He had a stroke a while back & then started circling the drain a month or 2 ago. I made the call last month to have the vet come over, but out of nowhere that was the exact day he decided to start eating again.

As of last week his health has degenerated considerably & I had to take a long, hard look at his quality of life. I keep second guessing myself, but I don't think it's fair, and maybe even a bit selfish, to continue. The vet is coming in a few hours & we will be taking him to the crematorium later this afternoon. He would have turned 10 years old this Friday.

This is also coming on the heels of my tortoiseshell house cat being diagnosed with a baseball sized fibrosarcoma. We don't believe it's in the bone yet, so we have a tentative surgery scheduled on Wednesday.

Please, raise a pint in memorium. It would be much appreciated.
